Hot Shot Flying Insect Killer, 15 Oz, Aerosol

I get this product at HEB and Walmart, and it works great. It will kill fruit flies and other flying insects when you apply it properly. I usually use bombs to kill stuff in a house or enclosed area, but this spray works for in between applications where you just have a few little vermits still alive and flying in your face. And, unless you are really allergic to it, you can spray it big time in the room area and not have to leave. I've done this many times. My wife does not like it, but it does get rid of most of the flying insects in the house. It is like an in between remedy of doing a complete bomb of the house. It also works as a follow up of the bomb.

This has not outright killed flies quickly and easily as I hoped. It does assist with keeping them away from canisters and away from areas that they are attracted to. However, it is described that it can kill flies up to 4 weeks after an area is treated but I am not yet sure that is true. It has taken direct sprays to kill flies and even then they have flown away with light mists. I do think it is effective as a barrier treatment and does kill flies but is not as strong as I expected. I will likely continue to use it and will also look for other options.

Used successfully in vicinity of a few small flying insects during warm weather. Also used on giant roach/waterbug-like intruder that passed away gracefully when sprayed for a few seconds.

WORKS WELL - way better than Ortho UNFORTUNATELY - like most deliveries lately from AMAZON, the packaging was exteremely POOR - spray cap on one can arived BROKEN - thus UNUSABLE so it went in the trash.

It really does not kill the mosquitos. will not buy this brand again.

For the price this is a good one. The can feels pretty heavy and the spray actually kills the bugs on contact and blows em away. It even killed a fly so small i didn’t notice I got it until I found a tiny little dead one. It’s good but it smells so bad. It’s poison so what do you expect? It definitely does kill fly pests on contact the can is easy to use. Very good tool. I recommend hot shot to every single home owner.
