GREAT COFFEE MAKER!
I had the previous model of this coffee maker. It lasted for 12 years before it began to leak and did a great job. After research, I ordered this model. I would have liked to have purchased the 12-cup, rather than the 10-cup model, but the larger capacity was too tall to fit under my cabinet in the kitchen. I'm happy to report the new version has been improved upon. First, it has a large area to pour the water. Even better, there is a water level indicator (by cups) on one side of the unit. This is really convenient and was a problem with the older model. The filter basket swings out and can be lifted out to rinse and/or clean. That is a really great improvement. By the way, the thermal carafe from the older model fits the new one perfectly. So now, I can brew two pots right in a row or make one regular and one decaf. That helps with having only a 10-cup capacity. The new model is smart looking and the controls are on the bottom. I like the features and it brews coffee fast! The only criticism I have is that when you lift up the lid to pour in the water, there are two screws that holds what I assume is the water line or pumping mechanism in place. One screw has already collected rust not the top, while the other is still beautiful chrome. Still, for the price, features and improvements, I couldn't ask for a better coffee maker. Love that thermal carafe. Great job, Cuisinart!

finally a good cup of coffee again!
For decades I was an old 'instant' coffee fan - but I found I was using too much sugar in every cup, so I decided it was time to 'grow up' and get some of those flavored k-cup coffees to reduce my sugar intake. Although this isn't a review on k-cups, no matter what flavor I tried or what coffee maker that I bought (I bought several!), it tasted horrible - even after only using filtered water. I yearned for a good cup of coffee again. So I began researching these drip machines -- but with reviews at each end of the spectrum for so many models it was difficult to decide. With some complaining about leaking and other anomalies, some describing features on other models that failed, cold coffee, etc - but others saying it was great - I was hesitant to try the Cuisinart; I was hoping those that were dissatisfied perhaps did not read the instructions - lol!Well, I've had this maker (with thermal pot -- no hot plate) for about 8 months and it has been wonderful. First, I finally get a good cup of coffee again (and just use tap water) - and with lots of varieties to choose from, my sugar intake in my coffee is zero! As for the temperature of the coffee that some commented on, although you do have to put very hot water in the thermal pot for a few minutes to keep your resulting coffee warm for a very long time (which I do while I'm preparing the maker) -- the maker does give you an option for how hot you want your coffee brewed. I choose the lowest heat level (regular) and usually have 2 - 3 cups every morning -- the first two cups, piping hot, the third is very warm but a few moments in the microwave and it's good to go. That's over the course of several hours. I only use genuine Cuisinart filters so that might be why some have problems over time -- they are much pricier than the 3rd party ones, but are made in Germany. I also use the metal filter that comes with the unit and a paper filter. I like the versatility not only in temperature control but brew strength as well - I use regular, probably to mimic my instant coffee days :-) -- but 'bold' is available.Overall, this is a great product and I am so happy to enjoy a cup a coffee again!

Poor quality control
I went through 2 of the 3750 coffee makers , both make excellent coffee and the stainless steel carafe works very well; however, the the first lasted about 10 months and then developed an irreparable leak The replacement I bought in Jan 2018 worked well until it began showing errors on each brewing and became a hassle just to set up a pot to brew. Good function, very poor durability . For the price, a coffee maker should last more than a year. Do not waste your money. I understand buying a pot that is just not up to par, but two in a row spells a serious problem. Looking for another brand seems the prudent thing for me to do.

Somewhat disappointing despite the wealth of features
Overall, I have to say I'm disappointed in this coffee maker, although this is largely a criticism of the carafe, which I can only describe as a really big dribble cup. My old Capresso had a superior carafe, never making me clean up coffee drips after pouring a cup of coffee like this Cuisinart invariably does. Nor did it force me to turn the carafe completely upside down to get the last of the coffee into the cup. The top of the Cuisinart carafe is cheap-feeling plastic and, unlike the Capresso, leaves me wondering how soon it will have to be replaced. If the Capresso had a temperature control, I wouldn't have been looking for an alternative after a decade plus of heavy use plus regular cleaning and filter replacement finally resulted in it being unwilling to push more than about 4 cups of water through the grounds with any given push of the start button. The Cuisinart's temperature control works well, although "Reg" is actually lukewarm, "Hot" isn't as hot as I'd like, and "X-Hot" leaves an odd sort of burnt plastic taste in the coffee. I tried letting hot water sit in the pot for a while before brewing, as Cuisinart suggests, but found it made at most a marginal difference in the temperature, and not worth the delay in actually producing that first cup of coffee. I will say the Cuisinart makes a very consistent cup of coffee - I never have to ask why it's hotter or colder or stronger or weaker today than it was yesterday. The stainless is attractive, but the brushed finish is not particularly easy to keep looking good. The Capresso wins that contest, too. Overall, although I also wouldn't have given the Capresso 5 stars when it was new, for me, it deserves at least one full star more than the Cuisinart. And, to my taste, the Capresso made slightly better coffee, too.
