Simple and functional for a good price
I got this puppy for $127, which is crazy value. No signs of it being refurbished. A well functioning laptop for that price is crazy, but here are things to consider. This cpu is old and only supports TPM 1.2, and TPM 2.0 is required for windows 11, and windows 10 support is set to stop being around the end of 2025. There are ways to still install windows 11, but support for older machines like this one is not guaranteed. That being said, I only use this laptop for web browsing, and watching streams/movies etc., so I will probably just be installing ubuntu on it anyways. The screen doesn't have the best viewing angle, and is only 1366x768. But to be expected with the small form factor, which I love. The keyboard is not backlit, but feels fine for typing. The battery life seems fine. 8gb ram and only one slot is a tad rough, but you can get a 16gb stick for about $25.If you know where the bar is at, and consider the price of this, it's a crazy good deal.

Awesome!
I read all the reviews and had a few concerns, but after receiving the laptop they turned out to be no issue!First, the laptop was well packed and basically appeared brand new! As an IT professional, I did what I'd normally do with ANY used laptop. The first was I downloaded Windows 10 Pro, 64bit from Microsoft and created an installation media on a USB drive. Inserted the drive in the laptop and booted up from the USB by pressing F12. I chose to do a new install keeping nothing. Deleted all existing disk partitions. And proceeded with the install on the unallocated disk space. Then I proceeded to Windows update and let that update everything. Next I went to Dell's website for the Lattitude 7280, went to the diganostics and downloaded and ran their Support Assist. From there I picked to run all the tests. There were a few more updates, but everything got a pass on the hardware tests. Finally, I installed Avast & Malwarebytes Antivirus and CCleaner to protect things and keep it happily running! The main concerns I had were the backlit keyboard not working and poor battery performance... I'm happy to report the backlight on mine DOES work, and the battery seems to hold a charge for a good amount of time - like a new laptop should! At $135, this was an absolute steal!!! I've only had it for a day, but I couldn't be happier... this is EXACTLY what I was looking for!!!

Good School Computer, Can Handle Easy Games (Minecraft)
The battery life is amazing on this computer. I could use it nearly all day off of the charger. If you don't know anything about computers, it has a generally low RAM, meaning it cannot handle running big programs all at once (i.e. multiple browsing tabs+Microsoft Word+Microsoft PowerPoint+Spotify) without a noticeable lag. However, it for some reason you wanted to play Minecraft during your history class (but you shouldn't), you can limit your screen to a browser and the game, and it'll work fine. It has a lot of storage and a lot of accessories available online. It has multiple USB ports, a headphone jack, a card reader, a card tapper, and some other ports for other cables I have yet to encounter. It is the perfect work computer for after you move on from school and it will probably last that long. The CORE i5 mine came with will tell you it cannot not run Windows 11 (but you can find ways around that. Just don't tell anyone I told you that).

It is too complicated
As I received the product, soon it became a huge pain to start the machine, I have to answer a long list of questions, set up Microsoft account, bla bla bla, It is very painful. As a normal people, we don't need security protections to use the machine, I just need it to write papers, everybody can see it. So I deeply wish you guys can set steps for normal people, for high security consideration, they can set up their codes. Please please give normal people some air to breath, not everybody like play code and keys before go directly to the topic. Basically you bring a lot inconvenient to simple people.

Bit of a surprise....
Wasn't exactly sure what I was expecting but was pleasantly surprised. This little guy is just a workhorse for me. It runs the video feeds and custom code for a few security cameras 24/7. I have it plugged into an external monitor/keyboard/mouse and hard wired to ethernet. It runs quiet and its plenty fast enough for my needs.

Excellent small laptop
Arrived quickly, well-packed, and very clean. Better than expected, almost good as new condition.Booted fast into the Windows 10 install screen, went through the steps, and was up and running in no time. Be aware the latest Windows install deployment wants you to create an online account to start with. Since it was an administrator account, I used Computer Management to create a second Local administrator account without the Microsoft online hype and deleted the original once I had the new profile set. Very pleased with the purchase and the quality provided by the seller - thanks.

Screen and keyboard issues
I bought this renewed Dell Latitude on July 20th, 2024. At first, I noticed that some of the keys need to be pressed harder than others, but everything else seemed to be working fine. So, I adjusted my typing to be more firm. Now, I'm having issues with the monitor flickering occasionally, sometimes for 5-10 seconds at a time, and I can't read what's on the screen. I've made sure to update all of the software and drivers, but it still has issues.
