My favorite feature of this doorbell is that you can save videos to an SD card in the (included) hub. You don't need a subscription. The provided mounting instructions, templates, and adhesive made it reasonably straightforward to mount. Once installed, it provides a decent quality video image, reliable doorbell (at least with my nearby WiFi), and a usable app to get notifications. I used the two-way audio occasionally, and it seems to work fine, but I don't use it very often. The battery has lasted a couple of months so far, probably due for a charge, which seems like I'll have to figure out how to take down the doorbell again, but I'm happy enough with the battery life. We don't have a huge amount of door traffic, but if we did, perhaps I'd recommend a wired version (which is also less bulky and less expensive, but requires installation of a cable). The lens is very wide-angle, and for our installation, I think I might prefer more zoomed in pictures of faces, but it's still completely acceptable. I like it enough to get a second one for our back door.

This camera is awesome. Super easy to set up. Excellent picture quality. The battery lasts well especially if you use the settings so it doesn’t go off at every leaf or bug that goes by. I already had a Tapo camera inside so adding it in to my account was super easy. For the money this is definitely worth the buy.

This came with a hub. The hub didn't work. Customer Service said they'd send me instructions in about an hour on troubleshooting my installation. I received a link to the online instructions. Written instructions are best because the accent of the CSR's makes them difficult to understand....especially when they're trying to explain technical procedures. I ended up having ChatGPT provide comprehensive troubleshooting instructions. ChatGPT agreed that the hub was malfunctioning. I decided that I would not wait for bureaucracy to act and bought another hub. It'll be here tomorrow. Much better than waiting on a bureaucracy to decide to make it right a week or two in the future. If I weren't already invested in hardware, there's no way I would buy this hardware again. Maybe my new hub will work. I'll share the results.

No subscriptions, no headaches—just a solid, well-designed smart doorbell that does exactly what I need. Definitely recommend it if you want something reliable without spending a fortune.

Easy install and work well, but live steaming was not working after 9 months of use. I removed battery, reset, reset hub, reboot router baba ba not come back anymore also the update is not working too.. well people is still able to ring this bell and I still got phone ring form it.

The Tapo Smart Video Doorbell is super cool for my house! Setting it up was really fast and easy, and it connects to the internet without any problems. The video looks clear, even when it’s dark outside, and the motion detector does a great job without bothering me too much. I really like the smart stuff, like being able to talk to people and get notifications on my phone, so I can see and chat with visitors from anywhere! The battery lasts a long time, and it feels strong and sturdy. If you want a good smart doorbell that doesn’t cost a lot, this one is awesome! I totally recommend it!

Excellent battery life, haven’t had to charge yet after several months still 54%. Very clear and wide view

The camera works well, and I like Tapo brand. As long as you have 2.4gz WiFi, this camera will work good. But the ad says up to 180 days battery. Not even close, I have this set to low motion sensor and it last at most two weeks, then needs to be recharged, recharging takes about 4-5 hours so I think I will have to get a back up battery
