Installation was extremely easy as advertised. I didn't even use the adhesive for the USB port, I just looped it around the rear view mirror arm. Honestly keeping my car looking clean was the main thing preventing me from buying a dash cam for so many years and I dreaded hard wiring it into the fuse box, but this thing solved all my problems. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

So far so good. Very easy installation and fit for my 2016 Ford Mustang with the 16 pin rear view mirror connector. It's nice to not have a ton of long, ugly cables dangling from the mirror in front of you all the time, or having to run long cables around the trims to the fuse box. Works perfectly well with the USB-C short length cable provided and my Rove R2 dash cam setup. Hope the quality and longevity is as great as the initial performance and ease of installation. For now, I will leave the sticky tape untouched for a while to make sure that both, the camera and this power adapter perform well before making this a permanent installation. Once I'm satisfied, I will apply the 3M sticky tape to the back of my rear view mirror and have it all completely out of sight. Good value for money-as long as it last for a very long time.

Installation was impressively straightforward and took only a few minutes. The adapter is compact which makes it easy to tuck behind the rearview mirror and route the cable out of sight. Build quality feels solid for the price and the connectors seat securely so there is no wobble while driving. It powers the dashcam reliably and keeps the windshield clean of dangling wires. Overall I was pleased with how simple it was to install and how discreet the setup looks.

I had dash cam wired into fuse box with fuse tap for many years. And I remember that it took me probably half an hour to remove all the panels to hide the wire from the fuse tab. Recently I needed new tap for the accessory power and I was wondering what to do until I realized that with this little wiring harness I can get my dash cam working off of that and the original fuse tap for the new accessory. It literally took me 1 minute to install it. And it works great!

I purchased the dashcam adapter kit for my 2015 F-150 XLT. Unfortunately I cannot speak on its performance since I goofed. I thought it would work with my dash cam since the kit came with three different cables. Turns out my cam has a usb A to c connection. It wouldn't be a problem if the cable wasn't embedded into the dash mount. So all I could do was return it. I can speak on the quality of its construction of the end item and included equipment. As mentioned in the listing the cables are all usb c to mini/micro/c. Gives you pretty much guaranteed compatability with most dash cams in the market. It also includes some zip ties. The adapter has an adhesive pad, much more reliable than just letting it hang. The outer shell seems to be contructed of high quality hardened plastic. Even though it'll just sit on your windshield, it can take a hit here and there. It doesn't come with a manual but I don't see why you would need one. Look at the ends and attach the cables where it belongs. Pretty simple setup. Would recommend this to anyone!

Works fantastic as advertised - just unplug the mirror, plug this in between and you're good to go!
