Tea for a Stressing Day
The flavor and scent help calm the mind and nice to drink on those stressing days to get get a grip and relax. Was intrigued on the package under uses it stated used to remove smell of tobacco, stimulant, increase sense of well-being or hallucinogen. Hmmmm, I am assuming that is for the dry roots? Also is to help inflammation of stomach, natural way besides turning to over the counter drugs or medicines. Taste is a sweet woody rooty flavor. Could add some fruit tea or dried fruit flowers to enhance flavor. A little bit goes a long way. Natural and Organic. Directions, Ingredients, usage on packaging. More information, pictures and store to visit on products listing page. Reasonable price for quality and quantity compared to similar brands/styles. I will get back to you on the chewing a root and the results.

Interesting Health Tea With Potential Hallucinogenic Properties
This is a large quantity of Calamus Roots packaged inside a well-labeled, press-zip pouch before being further contained within a sealed plastic baggie. I appreciate that these roots are organic, as I wouldn’t have ordered them otherwise. Before using this, read about the safety concerns of certain varieties to decide whether you feel comfortable proceeding. As far as benefits go, the packaging does a great job relaying them. It’s interesting that this tea can be used as a hallucinogen, so I’ll have to see whether I ever experience that effect, as so far, I have not. The flavor is not exciting, but it’s not unpleasant to me either. I’ll have no problem continuing to drink the remainder of this for basic relaxation and some of the very nice benefits.

Ancient tea full of benefits, take in moderation
This is a very interesting plant and worth researching for yourself if you’re not familiar. It’s an ancient herb used for many purposes, and even mentioned many times in the Bible which I find very interesting. Yet even though it’s long been used, I find a variety of conflicting information about it, which tells me more study is needed. That said, the dried root is safe to take in moderation. The instructions on this product say daily, but from what I know that’s not a good idea if you’re genetically prone to cancer, or already exposed to massive amounts of carcinogens. But even then, the occasional use of this herb is very unlikely to be harmful (as in toxic or cancerous). As for uses, I’m only taking the occasional cup of hot tea. For one because I want to stay safe with this herb so I’m taking in moderation. But also, because although not difficult to prepare, it’s not exactly quick.I’ve found a couple ways to do this. The quickest is to chop off small bits of the end of one of these dried roots and place into a tea bag or sifter. Make sure it’s a fine mesh filter since the pieces can be very small and you don’t want that messing up your tea. Then steep for about 10-15 minutes until desired intensity. The other way I prepare is to boil water in a small saucepan and toss in an entire dried root. I find this method can produce the best outcome if you keep on a rolling boil for about 30 mins. This really pulls out the flavor and this is the best way to prepare larger amounts. Then I’ll pour this into a larger container and refrigerate for iced tea, or to make additional cups for reheating later.Thank you for reading and I hope you find this review and the pictures helpful in making a purchasing decision.
